Is My City Encrypted? is a free tool that displays radio encryption status for public safety agencies across the United States. The Service is provided by BinaryRogue, LLC ("we", "us", "our").

Data Accuracy Disclaimer

Data is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Radio encryption status is based on channel and talkgroup data from RadioReference.com and reflects known radio configurations at the time of our last synchronization. Actual encryption status may differ because:

• Agencies can change encryption status at any time without public notice
• There may be a delay between an agency changing its configuration and that change being reflected in RadioReference's database
• Some agencies may encrypt only certain channels or talkgroups that are not captured in the data
• Classification algorithms may not capture every edge case

Do not rely on this data as the sole basis for legal, journalistic, or safety decisions. Always verify critical information directly with the relevant agency.

Data Attribution

Radio frequency and talkgroup data is sourced from RadioReference.com. If you use data from this Service, you must provide attribution to both Is My City Encrypted? and RadioReference.com.

API Usage

The Service provides public API endpoints for programmatic access. Reasonable use is permitted. We reserve the right to rate-limit or block access that places excessive load on our systems. Automated scraping of the entire dataset without permission is prohibited.

Data License

The aggregated data and visualizations on this site are available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. You are free to share and adapt the data for non-commercial purposes, provided you give appropriate credit.

Intellectual Property

The Service's code, design, and branding are the property of BinaryRogue, LLC. The underlying radio frequency data is sourced from RadioReference.com and is subject to their terms of use.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BinaryRogue, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to reliance on data accuracy.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
